A longtime resident of Tuscaloosa, I completed my BA (history/political science, 2012), MA (history, 2015), and PhD (history, 2020) degrees at the University of Alabama. I am now an associate professor with the Montgomery-based Amridge University, where I teach a variety of history and church history classes online at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I also serve as the Director of Adult Education for North Tuscaloosa Church of Christ.
If you are interested in having me speak to your church or school group or at an event, you can contact me here. I have given presentations on the history of the Stone-Campbell/Restoration Movement, race and religion in American history, and early church history. I am also able to serve as a fill-in preacher, having worked as a college/young professionals minister for seven years.
